Refund for unopened items
My wife bought a pack of briefs and a pack of of under-ware for ladies from Primark Store, St Anns Shopping Centre, Harrow HA1 1AT on 01-02-2024. At the time of purchasing my wife asked one of the store lady assistant if she could return the items if I did not like it.
The lady said as long as the items were not opened and was returned in the condition bought it was fine for refund. I went to return the items to the store on 10-02-2024 and refused the refund and was asked to read the terms and conditions at the back of the receipt. Not everyone reads the terms and conditions at the back of the receipt while making the payment. This should be clearly mentioned near the items which are not returnable and the cashiers while accepting the payment should inform the customer that the item purchased is not refundable.
If they can mention that the item is not refundable while the item is being returned, they can also inform the customer of this conditions while the item is being purchased. Please look into this matter and let me know what you intend to do.

Here’s an idea. Tell your wife if she is going to buy you underwear to buy ONLY the exact same ones you have.
If she disobeys and you don’t like them , tell her you will throw out an equal number of hers. OR buy your own underwear.
